The best things in life are free. The second best are very expensive. – Coco Chanel
Females go through various stages of nesting- making a home, creating a nursery. I discovered when I retired that it was really time to create my own nests. My Favorite Yankee has two nests- his office and his garage. I have three- my living room spot, my garden tub, and our bed.
My gift to myself up on retirement was a Stressless Recliner. Invented in Norway in 1971, there are several ergonomic variations on this chair and ottoman. The chair is pricey but pure quality with soft leather. My nest includes an antique marble top table, a blue and white oriental lamp, a large surge suppressor for all my technology, and a bag for my needlepoint. The cat joins me either on my lap or the ottoman.
My garden tub was one thing that attracted me to the house. I love a warm bath and I have some favorite bath products I use produced deep in the heart of Texas. The collection is Royal Extract by Lady Primrose found at https://ladyprimrose.com/collections/royal-extract I especially love the body creme.
Soft, fluffy towels are also important and I believe you get what you pay for. I like the Matouk brand found at https://www.matouk.com/bath/bath-towels/milagro.html I love the geranium color:
Finally, our king size bed is a haven so fine sheets are important and some of the best in the world are made by Frette. I shop only when they have a 50% off sale. This company has been around since 1860 and their work is of the highest quality. The style I like is cotton sateen with a double open hemstitch.
So those are my nests with which I am most content! Enjoy the websites.
